Position Statement:
My experience as a nutrition professional has taught me that groups have a stronger voice than a single individual – this is why I believe so strongly in participating in and supporting the HEN DPG. In my current position with the NYC Department of Health, I have the opportunity to serve as ‘administrative coordinator’ for many committees and workgroups. These situations highlight my skills as an organizer, information disseminator, and people coordinator. I see the HEN DPG continuing to serve its members as a reliable forum to discuss the nutrition and well being for all people in a sustainable environment. I strongly believe that HEN can continue to facilitate the discussion of systematic and environmental changes to help others live in a healthier environment. I hope to continue to support HEN action by providing the time and energy needed to serve as HEN DPG Secretary.
